This product consists of a thick lens to achieve high performance. For this, it is heavier than general lenses from other brands. In order to support this heavy lens, UX-Tube Extension Tube is necessary.
There is a possibility of falling off or　damaging near the lens if you use some kind of adhesive tape to fix the lens onto your compact camera. The lens tube on compact cameras are made very precisely, and　they may be damaged by installing heavy lenses directly. UX-Tube Extension Tube was created to prevent those issues.

However, changing the aspect ratio or　setting the hand-shake correction function ON on ZV-1 will change the focal length.
Regarding other cameras, the focal length will differ according to its sensor size and　lens configuration. Also, the focal length will change depending on the step-up and　step-down ring used.
Please understand that the focal distance shown in the specification is an approximate amount.

However, please do NOT use with lenses which surface sticks out like the illustration below. Super-wide-angle lenses tend to have these curved surfaces.

Vignetting may happen in the four corners when using a full-size camera with bigger sensors or　APS-C cameras. This is also related to the angle of view of the lens.
